I went from a conure to a harlequin macaw and discovered the most joy i have ever experienced on my entire life. Merlin was the magic of an existence plagued by serious illness, and i never once regretted her part in my life. She lived for 28 years and never bit me seriously but once during a very scary vet visit where she was terrified by the vet work. Even then, she could have removed a fingertip but just cracked the fingernail. She was my spoiled darling, and was just the best bird. Chewer, yeah, but not a screamer. I could never understand why people were scared of her. I wrote a book on my six babies: conure, macaw, grey, umbie too, molly too, and a goffin. I never tried to publish it bc i didn't want to encourage people to get birds as pets for all the reasons you mentioned. I am 71 now and the last of my birds are gone as of two years now. I miss them with all my heart and soul but know i was incredibly fortunate to have them. I have no one to leave my stories of them to, am sick to think that they would be forgotten. So smart, so sensitive, so creative, so loving, so playful, they were like nothing I'd ever known. you sre doing great things with your birds. I hope they stay with you for many, many years.

Owning SMALL Parrots in Chicago for 25+ years, I can identify with Bird Poo quite well. Fortunately my best bird, a little Green Cheeked Conure, was mostly cage trained and rarely pooped where he wasn't supposed to.

1 tip check if it really is stainless steel with magnet. If no reaction appear than it really is stainless steel. If you can see reaction its galvanized. I write this because i've been scammed multiple times, so don't trust blindly.
